Collect-Aire Models is a Cottage Industry Company specializing in bringing to the discerning modeler and collector, the finest in rare, custom made unbuilt model kits of subject matter that is unlikely to be produced by other companies for a variety of reasons.

We have been in business for over 20 years and are pleased to bring to you our Web Site. We hope you find it easy to read and navigate through the many exciting and unusual models we now bring to the discriminating modeler. Thanks for your continuing business and we hope to assist you in the near future.
Collect-Aire Models has two components;

The first is presented in this site. We produce and market our own line of Custom Unbuilt Model Kits under the Collect-Aire label. Our line numbers over 60 kits and is growing rapidly. Our model kits are handmade of various resins (form of plastic), with metal detail parts, custom decals and some of our models have photo-etched/engraved parts as warranted or needed. We employ several highly skilled makers, each of whom have different "approaches" to the subject but the end result is always accurate and timely subject matter that you can be proud to display in your collection. Our models are also hand-packed in Custom Boxes of very heavy construction, gloss yellow paper and detailed on all 5 sides. Most have original color artwork. Each box has the issue number on the side. Our model kits have fully detailed cockpits, wheel wells, intakes, exhausts and all that you expect from a collector's level model kit. They assemble similar to "regular" plastic kits, but with "super glues". Resin kits by the nature of the molding process can have some "Flash" on the smaller parts and our kits by statement are designed for those who have some experience with the medium or are collectors of fine and rare subject matter that can appreciate in value. Many of our customers buy two kits - one to build and one to collect.

Generally, our kits are limited to very small production runs of about two hundred to three hundred pieces. They are time consuming and labor intensive to produce - hence this is added in to the cost as we must recoup and amortize over a small production run. This allows us to springboard to the next project and keep some great subject matter coming to you!
Consequently, our kits are considered "made for the purchaser" and thus - no returns, refunds, exchanges are permitted on these custom made products.
Our Second Component is the sale of old, rare, out of production and hard to find model kits. These are contained in our section called ADVISOR. Our on-line catalog is available to all interested purchasers. It lists over 4000 hard-to-find kits at reasonable prices. You may go to that section and download the entire catalog or view it on your moniter at your convenience. These are IN STOCK Kits available for immediate purchase. As always, call, email, fax or use our order form for all purchases.

All kits contained in our ADVISOR section represent the current sum-total of our old kits inventory. The ADVISOR section is updated periodically so if you don't see what you want now - check back periodically.

Please do not call us with kit requests (ie," do you have...)other than what is in our ADVISOR catalog. The ADVISOR catalog is up to date and represents the sum total of our old kits inventory. As additional old kits come in stock, ADVISOR will be updated. Also all old kits are limited quantities per kit, usually 1-2 of each. If you need multiples, check with us first. Our old kits tend to sell quickly. All old kits are subject to prior sale even if listed in ADVISOR as available. We will keep the old kits ADVISOR section as up-to-date as possible.

In summary, we are pleased to continue to bring to you those models of many "Lost In Time" aircraft that you would otherwise never see from mainstream manufacturers. We have many new models coming and projects in the works, so stay tuned as we accelerate into the new millennium!
I look forward to assisting your model kit needs soon!

Sincerely,

Lou Maglio
